Metallic surface texturing results will be shown at LPM 2017

ComMUnion will be at the 18th International Symposium on Laser Precision Microfabrication (LPM2017). Nerea Otero Senior Researcher in Laser Microprocessing at AIMEN Technology Centre will present part of the current work being accomplished in the framework of metallic surface texturing. Thus, this work will show the comparison and thorough study of metallic surface texturing in different regimes. Functionality of surfaces textured by femtosecond and nanosecond lasers will be displayed and compared, in terms of wettability and adhesion properties, bearing also in mind, the productivity rates.

ComMUnion will present its latest developments in the Factories of the Future Community Day. The talk will be given by Felix Vidal, Robotics & Control Research Strategy Manager at AIMEN Technology Centre, and some of the main transversal developments will be displayed. This event, organized by EFFRA aims at sharing, not only recent project results, but also at exchanging views on common challenges.

ESI together with AIMEN will be at JEC World. ESI will show their experience in Virtual Prototyping and End-to-End simulations for composite components to predict their performance and the hybrid parts taking into account the manufacturing effects. Session Current trends in the automotive industry: "Optimization of multi-material parts performances thanks to new metal/thermoplastic composite joining technology", will be given by ESI with our partner AIMEN (March 15 - 2:00 PM).
