Hybrid Polygon Scanner
The hybrid polygon scanner has been developed at laboratory level under ComMUnion project to create undercut grooves to enhance the adhesion between metals and thermoplastic composites.
The hybrid polygon scanner developed for texturing grooves with undercut structure into metal parts with cw-lasers enables high linear scan rates with feed forward compensation. The shape of the grooves is formed by a multi-pass process with recast and gives anchorage for plastic joining partners. Other laser sources and process like can be applied.
