AIMEN will present recent advances related with the robotized processes for composites like ATP.
CO2
emissions are one of the major challenges to be addressed worldwide and efforts
are being intensively dedicated to this major issue. Weight reduction is an
important competing strategy and composite materials appear to be one of the
most promising candidates for reaching these targets. COMMUNION project focuses
on multi-material components design for overcoming the cost barrier, enabling
productive and cost effective manufacturing. The principle is the combination
of materials of different nature in a single structure, allowing a higher
performance/cost ratio than a bulk material. This project comprises the
development of a novel fully automated, robotized and flexible system able to
perform successfully the dissimilar joint for two different study cases: automotive
and aeronautics
